New York or Nowhere

It will always be New York or Nowhere,” is Dylan’s slogan. The design of a dynamic room was specifically tailored to reflect this sentiment. Welcome to New York, the old New York. The ambiance is reminiscent of the old Super Clubs, with black and white aesthetics complemented by accents of green. The space exudes sophistication with an abundance of intricate details throughout. The venue? The Lighthouse, at Chelsea Piers, offers a spectacular view of the Hudson.

During the cocktail hour, the focus was on iconic symbols synonymous with New York, such as the Big Apple and its renowned landmarks. This inspiration was translated into the entranceway from the escort card moment to the adult cocktail hour. The large window straight ahead was adorned with vinyl featuring Dylan’s favorite places in NYC, serving as the centerpiece of the design.

A 2′ red apple took center stage on the adult white plexi bar, introducing deep green Italian Velutto linens that paired elegantly with lush white florals.

The Main Celebration room:
The Lighthouse was draped in black velvet, and the main ballroom footprint was expanded with special design elements intentionally crafted to showcase the space in a different “light.” By introducing unique drapery, new entrances into the ballroom were created, and the bar was positioned front and center, deviating from the typical placement for the adult bar within the space. The introduction of hundreds of disco balls, a white plexi dance floor, and numerous 7′ Areca Palms transformed The Lighthouse into a true super club, reminiscent of old New York, leaving an indelible mark on Dylan’s Bat Mitzvah.
